⚠ Important B.C. Regulatory Notice
To work as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or ECE Assistant in a licensed child care facility in British Columbia, you must be certified by the ECE Registry. Winston College’s ECEA02 course is not currently a program recognized by the ECE Registry. Graduates who wish to pursue ECE Registry certification must apply through the Registry’s equivalency assessment process, and there is no guarantee of equivalency approval. This course is designed as a foundational step toward a career working with children, preparing students for entry-level roles such as Child Care Assistant or
Preschool Assistant.

Program Outline

Every early learning setting needs people who can guide children’s behaviour with patience and skill, not guesswork. Winston College’s Child Guidance (ECEA02) course teaches practical, evidence-based strategies for supporting children’s emotional growth, self-regulation, and social development.
The course runs 4 weeks and 64 hours, delivered online but structured like any other class: weekly lessons, case studies, discussion activities, and an instructor tracking your progress throughout. Studying online simply means you’re not tied to a physical classroom — the coursework, deadlines, and support are still there.
