Program Outline

British Columbia’s child care sector is expanding, and it needs people who understand how children actually develop. Winston College’s Child Growth and Development (ECEA01) course covers core developmental theory — including Piaget, Erikson, and Bronfenbrenner — and applies it directly to real early-learning settings.
This isn’t a loosely self-paced module. It’s a structured 4-week, 64-hour course with weekly topics, assignments, and instructor support from start to finish, giving you a working understanding of developmental milestones from birth through age six and the observation skills used every day in early learning environments across BC.
